Baby Things & Sock Progress

While the boys were away, I concentrated on my knitting projects. I finished a pair of newborn longies and had yarn leftover! I decided on the Top Down Bonnet from Hello Yarn. The figure 8 cast on was a new technique and didn't turn out as neat as I would have liked. But overall, the bonnet turned out very cute.


And here is Teagan's sock. I cast on in April and this is how far I've gotten... about 5 inches. It has been for the most part, neglected up to this point. I was getting really tired of 2x2 rib. A knitting forum buddy suggested switching to stockinette for the remainder of the leg, so that's what I did. I decided that I would like to finish these for his birthday, so they are my main project now. It's very hard to fight the urge to cast on something more interesting. ;-)

Knit & Dye

I have been busy creating, and neglecting my blog in the process. I did a few business customs and knit a couple of things for my baby. I will have to post pics sometime. These are my very latest projects though, hot off the needles and fresh from the dye pot.

This sweater is for a friend's new baby girl :-)


And, I did some tie-dye yesterday. I just don't like white anything! First is some toddler size prefolds for Ruby, then some preemie prefolds for the baby, and finally a couple of shirts for me.
